I called my seven year old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffyholt.com\/blog\/2007\/07\/27\/prodigy\/\"target=_blank>niece<\/a> for help but she was busy explaining the merits of water birthing to her mother who was busy explaining the <em>de<\/em>merits right back.  <\/p>\n<p>I watched Kenneth Branagh&#8217;s Hamlet (1996) twice over the weekend.  That&#8217;s eight hours.  Give or take, but mostly give because I kept rewinding the scenes with Horatio and Ophelia. <\/p>\n<p><center><img src='http:\/\/www.buffyholt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/branagh-hamlet.jpg' alt='Branagh\u2019s Hamlet' \/><\/center><br \/>\n<center>Kenneth Branagh as Hamlet<\/center> <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m thoroughly smitten with Branagh at the moment.  He&#8217;s both brilliant and beautiful in the role.  I stand by this in spite of Flynn&#8217;s exclamation&#8230;<em>&#8220;Kenneth Branagh! Fo&#8217; real??? I find that odd&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just booked Steph and me tickets to see <strong>The Merry Wives of Windsor<\/strong> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shakespeares-globe.org\/\"target=_blank>Globe<\/a> next month because, you know, might as well. <\/p>\n<p>I should probably call and tell her. <\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been diagramming Shakespeare tonight.
