If the day&#8217;s my own, it&#8217;s when I feel my happiest. This morning I wanted to watch the sun rise across the lake. Instead, I found a field out in the middle of nothing by a road that dead-ended into the water. I got out of my car and stood and stared at the light until it blinded me. Then the fire department showed up with full-on sirens. Which was odd because there was nothing there but a dead-end road, and me, and the field, and the sun. So, I&#8217;m not sure what that was all about. But I suspect I was getting ready to stumble upon some secret government facility.
