My Dad grew up in Raliegh County, while I grew up in Boone County (both WV, of course). Dad used to point out this stretch of absolutely nothing and tell where the movie theater, grocery stores, restaurants, soda fountains, etc., had been when he was growing up. The town survived, but it spread into a different direction. Perhaps Iaeger will be the same way...a scrappy mountain survivor. Iaeger could bounce back, just not in the same way.
