Pumpkin pie. Apple Pie. Cherry Pie.
Reece Cake. Chocolate Bunt. Pecan Strudel.
Banana Pudding. Mint something. Butter Cream.
And Caramelised Casserole. Of a sort. The name of the sweet-potato-and-butter-flavoured-brown-sugar-with-pecans-on-top-pie escapes me.
Generation ‘X’ took on the Turkey and more. Our mothers took photos. Their’s stood by and looked the lady. (My grandma is delicate and perfect and pure European.)
Everyone brought a sweet. “Whatever you fancy.”
They fancied southern…comfort…food.

ahh you are all so lovely. Eat the cake and enjoy. You deserve it.
three beauties
Sugar for thirty sounds great.
sounds like a great dinner … care to send the leftovers my way?
What a pretty trio! It sounds as if you had a fabulous dessert tray!
doesn’t look like any of you have over-indulged!
Those desserts sound quite good. Tunnel of fudge cake anyone?
Lovely photo.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yours is really interesting. I’ll be back to read more when I have more time.
Mmmm… sounds heavenly. Beautiful food for beautiful women!
Sounds amazing. My husband and I finished off the only dessert we made this year, an apple almond tart, in just three days’ time. Now what? That simply isn’t enough sugar for two for Thanksgiving.
But after our marathon cooking session Thursday, it was all we could do if we wanted to be able to eat some time before midnight. Even though we are only two, the sugar for thirty, times two, would have been divine. Pumpkin pie, cherry pie, and banana pudding, especially. Glad you had fun and lots of sweets.
sounds like a lovely thanksgiving! i want pie.
All right kiddo, you’re on the hook for our little group!
