pashminas and piazzas

It’ s a little crazy in the Eternal City. A certain celebrity couple have taken it by storm. Shame, really.

We have a bit yet before Turkey Time. Before we head to the hills – for the first time in nine years – for family and food.

Until then I’ll be grazing on anti pasta, warm red and brie. I’ll have crusty bread and call it healthy. Because I’m convinced it is. I’ll do it beneath a pashmina of pink and a patio lamp.

I’ll watch it rain on my toes and get cold in Trastevere and wont care.

Short and sweet. The Piazza di Spagna. Roma at night.

  6. Love your blog. You are a fantastic writer. When is the book coming out?? :)

I’ve been here before and I’ll be back again. Your words are alive. I feel like I can hear you saying them and I don’t even know what you sound like.

Love West Virginia – it’s one of my favorite places in all of my travels – and I’ve been to every state in the USA. West Virginia is breathtaking. What a place to grow up.

Europe is on my list for next year…starting with Italy, since that’s where my heritage stems from. Can’t wait to see it – maybe I’ll be one of the ones who doesn’t come back either.

Thank you for the wonderful reading.

Your experiencing the delights of la Città Eterna, huh? Dang Buffy…I’d be lying if I didnt say I was a little jealous, but then again, I’d be lying if I didnt say I am so happy for you! You must write more about this beautiful city!

Ernest Hemmingway once said, “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” And well…maybe, just maybe, the same could be applied to Rome.

  10. Ryane says:

Didn’t you know–calories are all negated in Rome. You burn them all off trying to avoid getting hit by the crazy drivers…;-)
