Filed away under ‘Princeton’ and ‘Pink Shag Carpet’ are the following:

Chris, Earl and me. A two story brick and a gas main.

Random annoyances, foreign athletes, and the odd mom ….or two. ICQ, academia and romantic pursuits.

Wine by the gallon, midnight sausage runs and Victoria’s Secret. Shared wardrobes, spats, and fourth year finals.

Diets of no nutritional value, indoor tracks and shady photographers. (Oh yes he was!)

European cars, European boys, tennis players and servicemen. Korean cigarettes, close shaves and convenient stores.

Upset drivers, emergency services and near explosions.

It wasn’t orderly. But it was my life.

It’s funny, and a little bit strange, but I have been traipsing over collegiate (and high school) experiences these past few weeks, over myriad memories long filed and seemingly forgotten. Their surfacing has been almost unconscious, quite unexpected.

(Great as usual, B.)

Sounds like a fun 4 years!

I’ve fallen in love with your blog! Wonderful stories. I will be back for a closer look. Thanks for your visit to mine and the nice comment on my dad’s funeral photo. That is the first time I have ever posted anything about it.

What memories lie in that two story brick house. I still drift back every time I drive by. I wouldn’t trade those days for anything.

Filed away under ‘Springfield Community College’ and ‘beer on the carpet’ are the following:

Chuck, me, and Susanne. A dorm room with helium filled balloons.

Random bouts of mental coherency, foreign females, and the odd mom … or two. Low IQs, academia and romantic pursuits.

Beer by the keg, midnight Frisbee throwing in the halls in boxer shorts which we never shared. Drinking contests, and second year fisticuffs.

Incipient beer bellies - except for me - and shady escort services, although naturally only my buddies needed them.

Japanese cars, domestic girls, domestics, Ping Pong players and servicewomen. Lucky Strikes dangling dangerously from imperious lips; three-day stubble and convenience stores.

Shopped-till-we-dropped followed by upset stomaches, acute dyspepsia, common pneumonia, and emergency services.

This too was a life; and one, I do proclaim, well worth the sneezing.

i always love it when you get poetic, it always makes for inspiration on my end.

Misti….Maybe I should have put ‘Earl, a smoke and a gas leak.’ There’s a story in that yet.

And Percival…so glad to know you guys didn’t share your boxers. Or was it the frisbee?

Hi, Buffy, nice of you to visit my humble blog and leave me a comment. What part of Appalachia do you hail from? I’m a born and bred Arkansan, myself. Feel free to visit and comment anytime.

Buffy, you inspire memories of my own and ways to express them. I’m wowed.

Great writing over here - thanks for stopping by my site. Funny, I’m married but living in a different country from my other half, so at nearly 32 I’m living the life I never got to have at 18!

Love the chaos…stability is overrated!

The best lives almost always aren’t orderly. Here’s to messes and happiness.

[…] When Buffy reminisces, it sure does sound more romantic and exciting than our past does, even the part after we finished the disco lessons. […]

Hey, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Did you go to Princeton? Because then we have a lot in common.
